Educator Testimonials

Camp Australia booked Bush Kindy Teaching to provide loose parts incursions for our services over the Summer 2024/25 holidays.

Here’s some feedback from our Service Leaders:

Participating in the Bush Kindy PD with Areta was great.

Educators walked away feeling inspired and keen to roll out our program.

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending Areta Farrance's Principles of Bush Kindy Learning workshop. As someone new to the early childhood education world, it was inspiring to explore how I can incorporate my love of nature into education. The workshop delved into the principles of Bush Kindy and Forest School, highlighting the many benefits of outdoor learning. Areta’s wealth of knowledge and experience made it clear how nature-based education fosters creativity, resilience, and a deeper connection to the environment. It was exciting to learn practical ways these principles can be implemented in my own centre! A huge thank you to Ipswich City Council for supporting such valuable professional development opportunities!

Parent Testimonials

The program is amazing! Areta does such a wonderful job with the Bush Kindy Program. We just love getting dirty with all the mud, clay and water activities. It is so great to be part of local community coming together to enjoy nature. Our family has made new friends and enjoyed learning about nature within her program. I would highly recommend Areta and her Bush Kindy Program at Daisy Hill forest.

Thanks so much for all that you do!

We loved attending bush kindy, it was our favourite playgroup for the week. The vibe was always relaxing and friendly. Areta brings loads of fun and creative nature play learning activities to keep your children busy or they can run freely around the native park and explore with their little buddies. We spotted a wallaby every so often and the koala park is right there also. A delicious healthy morning tea was kindly provided. Great location and great company!

We only wouldn’t attend next year because our child will be at school. This program has been our best we have attended and we have been attending for over a year on a weekly basis. Our only issue now is that it’s not very easy to get into, which is a shame because we’ve built connections there and our child looks forward to going each week. Overall Areta has done an amazing job and it shows with how many people want to attend.

My daughter and I have attended multiple bush kindy playgroup sessions with Areta - it is the highlight of our week! Areta creates a warm and welcoming space and places emphasis on building a community.

There is a good balance of facilitation and free play and Areta really takes the time to identify themes of interest within the group of children and tailor the conversations and nature activities to suit.

We have enjoyed making new friends (bush buddies) and being a part of a small group in a bush setting with a highly skilled and qualified forest leader.

We have been a part of bush kindy for a whole year!! We have enjoyed each week being outdoors exploring and playing/chatting with new friend's. Areta brings a smile each week and makes each kindy fun with side activities and a healthy morning tea for our little ones. We look forward to kindy next year.
